Getting your recessed lights to stay right in place, especially when they have fallen down once or more, can be a bit tricky at times. & these types of lights are best placed where there's low-hanging ceilings, such as in basement areas. Remember that when placing them. If you have found that either one or several of your recessed lights is crooked, check the mounting clip: Is it still in place? This is what falls out the most, too.
Also, opt for clips that known to work really well, offering maximized support. & do not get clips like those of often used on those small Lithonia, Cooper & similar types of lights as they don't hold too well. 6″ Halo brand can clips are not the best fit either, usually, because they have a tendency to pop. Remember not to fuss with that light, or wiggle it any more than you ought to, either, as that can & will weaken the overall structure of the recessed light, which can fall off so easily.
Consider jam – stapling your housing on that recessed lighting. Bend those clips & rap those clips as needed. Bend them outward. Rap each clip one time only. One of these two solutions ought to do the trick. You can also choose to keep a loose clip, at all times, in place, by simply considering the space between the light's proper 'housing' & the clip itself, & then jamming some sort of small item right in there.
