Can Lighting Installations &
Recessed Light Repairs

Greetings!

Edward's Enterprises is a General Contractor & Hourly Handyman here to help you with your recessed light installations or repairs at your home or business.

Recessed Lighting provides a streamlined & sleek look to a space. With recessed lighting, a space feels larger & filled with complimentary light.   Discover how our eager team of employees work together on IC & Non-IC installations throughout our site.
Let's get started!

Love to cover that! The Edward's Enterprises employees install & repair recessed lighting consisting of:

  • Recessed light installations

  • Recess lighting replaced

  • Can lights repaired

  • Recess can dimmer installs

  • Installing LED recess lights

  • Replacing recess trim kits

  • Adding eyeball lighting trims

  • 3″, 4″ & 6″ lighting replaced

  • Remodel light housing installs

  • Downlight lighting replaced

  • Gimbal trim installations

  • Baffle trims upgraded

Lighting fixtures come in all shapes & sizes. Recessed lighting can highlight sitting areas, counter space, & more without adding a larger design feature like exposed track lighting. Combining high style with proper function, it can be installed nearly anywhere with a flat surface & electrical access. & new options for vaulted or sloped ceilings can add nice spot lighting to an otherwise tall dark room. Use it to highlight artwork, cabinets, special artifacts, or specific spaces. Minor design tips can have a big impact on your results.

Recess lighting repairs can be a DIY project, but can also be time consuming & complicated for many of our customers. In order to upgrade, install or repair the recess lighting for your home or office, call our team now!

Edward's Enterprises' hourly rates for recessed lighting installation projects start out at:

Start at $99* for the first hour of each trip & $69 an hour after that (that's for 1 employee)

Rates listed above are the typical check or cash rates charged for repairing or replacing recess can lighting (not including dump disposal fees or materials).

We charge for the time needed for a customer's project, including providing or delivering materials or for the time to haul away left over trash. This allows us to handle small jobs for our electrical clients, rather than only lump sum projects with much higher minimums to show up.

Thanks to our processing partner PayPal, we do accept most major credit & debit cards now! Rates are slightly higher, please call our office for all of the details.

*Cities outside of our area of operations will be charged additional travel costs. $99 to $119 is the first hour of work charge depending on zip code of the job location. Some exclusions do apply, like same-day, after hours or weekend service or customers with pre-arranged billing agreements. We would be happy to answer any of your pricing questions, please call for details!

When we needed our dishwasher serviced for leakage, we had Edward's team come over the same day. We felt it was an emergency for our household, so it was well-worth the money for the timely & professional service!

We have used Edward's several times now & are always happy with the service. Most recently they replaced a light fixture in one room & a ceiling fan in another. Great work, clean & fast!

Great Question! Edward's Enterprises is usually available for minor electric repairs:

Office: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday by phone in our office to schedule lighting projects & ask questions about electrical repair service.

Field: As far as scheduling work appointments, for our typical rates listed above (I know we didn't skip that section) we normally schedule work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm (holidays, meetings, kids with flus may affect availability).

Most electrical projects get a 2 hour window of arrival, so expect something like 7:00am to 9:00am, or 10:00am to 12:00pm, or even 1:00pm to 3:00pm window.

We are available for emergency work based on a first come first serve system & whether or not we have a crew available. Expect to pay more for these types of calls (we have employees & overtime is what it is).

If you need us to come outside of our regular times, expect to pay a bit more, or experience different restrictions like job minimums, etc.

(1) Be careful not to place recessed lighting fixtures too close together or in rows down the center of the room.

(2) An easy rule to remember is to proportionately match the size of your recessed lighting fixture to the distance of how far apart they are. For instance a 4-inch fixture should be placed 4 feet apart & 6-inch fixtures should be 6 feet apart from one another.

(3) Center recessed lighting fixtures in front of objects that need light. Generally the light should be 12 to 18 inches in front of the object.

(4) If the lights are used for tasks, then make sure that they are carefully placed overhead so that they do not block needed light.

(5) When lighting three dimensional objects, it is most effective to light them from two or three different angles.

(6) A neat trick to help make a space feel larger is to use wall washing recessed lighting fixtures. These help give the appearance that the walls are being pushed outwards.

Recessed lighting can be installed almost anywhere with a flat surface & electrical access. The can housing structure can be fit to sloped ceilings, walls, & even under pools.

Because recessed lighting is unobtrusive, & can be custom positioned, it's great to accent a focal point within a room.
