When you're assembling flat pack furniture, it may be best to start out with simply just assembling within the very same room that the furniture's going to be in later. That way, you can avoid unnecessary, additional work in having to move the furniture to another room after it's been assembled.
 
Organize your working area, keeping all space needed to assemble in, & clearing up some room, if needed. Move all distacting, or 'trip hazard' items, out of your way. Get the right tools together, unpack the boxes you need (which contain the different parts, or units, of each major furniture set, respectively). Follow all instructions thoroughly, as listed in the manual or guidebook. Make sure that you get every lug, bolt, screw, & other tool you need in it's right spot. & as you screw & tighten, make sure that no part is too loose – but not too tight either, in case you ever need to take anything apart later on.
 
Once done, check all your work twice, for accuracy. Check that all parts listed in the manual have been included in the box, & if you now find that any part has been missing, request its replacement from the provider, who should ship it to you at no cost, since the initial required piece(s) lacked. Also, have you measured all the room's dimensions, preferably before starting? If so, well done. & also, don't forget to measure the furniture, as well, once it's up & running, against the dimensions of the room, so you can get a general idea of just how much space in the room that particular piece of furniture is occupying. Make sure that everything's nice & “fixed up”.

$179* for the first hour of each trip & $119 an hour after that (for 2 employees, with a 2 hour minimum)

These are the typical cash or check hourly rates for labor we charge our customers for home & office helper services (not including materials or dump disposal fees).

Repair Assembly Hanging Office Art - RepairWe charge for all time allotted to a customer's assembly or staging services project, including purchasing & delivering materials, or offsite work like painting lumber prior to an installation, or for the time to dispose of debris. This allows us to take on smaller projects for our customers, rather than only lump sum projects with much higher minimums to show up.

Field: As far as scheduling work, for our typical rates listed above (I know we didn't skip that section) we normally schedule work Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm (holidays, meetings, kids with flus may affect availability).

Repair Assembly Outdoor Patio Furniture - RepairMost handyman requests get a 2 hour window of arrival, so plan on something like 8am to 10am, or 9am to 11am, or even 1pm to 3pm window.
 
Expect to pay a bit more if you need us to come outside of those times, or different restrictions like job minimums, etc.
 
We are available for emergency hourly repair work based on a first come first serve basis & whether or not we have a crew available. Expect to pay more for these types of calls.
