Typical rates we charge to fix your drywall
Edward's Enterprises Drywall Patch and Plaster Repair: New wall construction and painting at a residential project.

$89.00* for the first hour (each trip, 1 employee)

$49.00* an hour after that (1 employee)


These are the typical cash or check hourly rates for labor we charge our customers for drywall and plaster fixes and patches (not including materials). Our services are charged on a time and material basis. That includes all of the time for your project, including sourcing materials if they are needed.

Most gypsum wall board projects that involve replacing full sheets are too cumbersome for 1 employee to handle, so we would send 2 of our employees to your residence or office at higher rates than stated above.

*Some exclusions do apply, like commercial companies that are billable, cities not listed in our city coverage list above, or for same-day, after hours or weekend service. Call and we would be happy to answer all of your pricing questions!

    * Drywall is actually a very weak material. It is composed of gypsum with a paper surface over the top. Depending on the side of the patch, the options are to cut out the damaged area and install a new panel, or patch it and then smooth it over with a joining compound matching yours.

    * During home building in 2006-2007, defective drywall was imported into the United States. It is expected this was installed in tens of thousands of homes before it was noticed as defective product. However, it is difficult to determine which drywall is defective because it is generically marked.

    * Drywall is 100% Recyclable. It is estimated that roughly 12% of the drywall produced in the U.S. is wasted every year and sent to landfills.
