How are hourly charges broken down?

Rates Edward's Enterprises charge for home sidewalk pressure washing calls start at:

 

Start at $100* an hour Per Employee, 3 Hour Minimum.

 
Hourly rates shown above are the typical cash or check rates for minor cleaning and pressure washing of concrete sidewalks, deck furniture, patio covers and more (not including dump disposal fees or materials).
 
There is an additional equipment charge for all pressure washing service calls not included in the hourly rate. We do not currently offer commercial pressure washing.

Landscaping Pressure Washing Mobile Home - LandscapingWe charge for the time needed for a client's project, including providing or delivering materials or for the time to haul away left over trash. This allows us to handle small jobs for our landscape customers, rather than only lump sum projects with much higher minimums to show up.
 
Thanks to our processing partner PayPal, we do accept most major credit and debit cards now! Rates are slightly higher, please call our office for all of the details.

*From Hourly charge is from $100 to $125 or more PER EMPLOYEE depending on the work site zip code. Locations outside of our area of service will be charged additional travel costs.

    When are you open?

    Great Question! Edward's Enterprises is usually available for backyard work:

     

    Office: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday by phone in our office to schedule landscaping projects and ask questions about outdoor repair services.

     
    Field: As far as scheduling work appointments, for our typical rates listed above (I know we did not skip that section) we normally schedule work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm (holidays, meetings, kids with flus may affect availability).

    Landscaping Pressure Washing Concrete Wall - LandscapingMost backyard gardening projects get a 3 hour window of arrival, so expect something like 7:00am to 10:00am, or 10:00am to 1:00pm, or even 12:00pm to 3:00pm window.
     
    We are available for emergency yard clean up work based on a first come first serve system and whether or not we have a crew available. Expect to pay more for these types of calls (we have employees and overtime is what it is).
     
    If you need us to come outside of our regular times, expect to pay a bit more, or experience different restrictions like job minimums, etc.

    Close all windows and doors firmly to prevent water from seeping in because leakage of water into the building could cause internal water damage. Make sure you also have a nozzle and / or tip that is the best size, the one most suitable to your hose. Interchangeable spray tips, thankfully, will already come with your machine, most likely, and most of them these days have already made every provision to include them, respectively. For different – angle rinsing, especially at high pressures, these are highly efficient, in addition to lowering your pressure and helping draw that detergent at the same time.
     
    Remove all vehicles from the surrounding area of where the pressure washing will be taking place. Also, be extremely careful of any other objects or items that could be targeted by accident when spraying, such as major light fixtures, boxes, trees, windows, mail boxes, flowers, eaves, vents, and more. and make sure to pause before each rinse! In fact, a 5-10 minute pause would not be too much to ask, at all, as it can let you properly dissolve that dirt, by means of the detergent, as well. To get a quality final result, be patient with the process.

    The history of pressure washing seems to have started as an accident during prohibition?
     
    It seems Mr. Ofeldt II, who worked for a company that manufactured gas water heaters and whisky stills, accidently discovered hot high pressure steam from a still, when directed with a small hose at his greasy workshop floor, was good at cutting through the build up and cleaning the floor. He later joined Homestead Valve Manufacturing Co. and became Chief Engineer of the Hypressure Jenny Division.
     
    The industry, and the applications for pressure washing, really picked up “steam” in the 1970s and 80s, when companies like Cat Pumps, Hypro, Annovi Reverberi, General Pump and Giant began innovating the pumps and connected power systems to increase pressure, volume, and pump reliability. This included a switch to ceramic pumps and stainless steel pumps, much of the innovations being pushed by the car wash industry.
     
    The increase in pressure led to a push for “trigger” wands that could start and stop the flow with a squeeze of the trigger and reduce safety concerns (you do not want to get hit in the eye by a whip-sawing pressure washer line). This in turn led manufacturers like Cat Pumps to modify their pumps to handle this start-stop process and prevent damage to the pump itself.
     
    Now pressure washers are used in many, many industries besides the car wash industry, including concrete and structure cleaning, paint preparation and stripping, nuclear rod removal (robots!), holding tank cleaning, concrete abrasion and removal, steam cleaning the Statue of Liberty and metal processing to name just a few. Next time you get out your own pressure washer to rinse the back fence or hire us to pressure wash the back patio deck, think about all those pressure washers out there and how limitless the possibilities are!
