Ceiling fan repairs can be a DIY project, but can also be time consuming & complicated for many of our customers. In order to upgrade, install or repair the ceiling fan in your home or office, call our team now!

Hourly rates for basic ceiling fan repair jobs start out at:

Start at $99* for the first hour of each trip & $69 an hour after that (that’s for 1 employee)

Rates listed above are the typical check or cash rates charged for repairing or replacing ceiling fan switches, receivers, blade balancing & more (not including dump disposal fees or materials). Some ceiling fans are too large or mounted too high for 1 employee to easily or safely handle, so we would send 2 of our employees to your home at rates higher than stated above.

We charge for the time needed for a customer’s project, including providing or delivering materials or for the time to haul away left over trash. This allows us to handle small jobs for our electrical clients, rather than only lump sum projects with much higher minimums to show up.

Thanks to our processing partner Paypal, we do accept most major credit & debit cards now! Rates are slightly higher, please call our office for all of the details.

*Cities outside of our area of operations will be charged additional travel costs. $99 to $119 is the first hour of work charge depending on zip code of the job location. Some exclusions do apply, like same-day, after hours or weekend service or customers with pre-arranged billing agreements. We would be happy to answer any of your pricing questions, please call for details!

Great Question! Edward’s Enterprises is usually available:

Office: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday by phone in our office to schedule lighting projects & ask questions about electrical repair service.

Field: As far as scheduling work appointments, for our typical rates listed above (I know we didn’t skip that section) we normally schedule work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm (holidays, meetings, kids with flus may affect availability).

Most electrical projects get a 2 hour window of arrival, so expect something like 7:00am to 9:00am, or 10:00am to 12:00pm, or even 1:00pm to 3:00pm window.

We are available for emergency work based on a first come first serve system & whether or not we have a crew available. Expect to pay more for these types of calls (we have employees & overtime is what it is).

If you need us to come outside of our regular times, expect to pay a bit more, or experience different restrictions like job minimums, etc.

To check if we can handle an electrical repair at your store, office or home, you can check a few places:

There is a helpful site menu drop down called “Cities”. Select that & you can see if your city is in our “service area”.

You can review the city list at the bottom of the page.

You can visit Our Cities Page which is really just a “Cities” list page (don’t tell the page menu, it just makes it jealous).

You can contact us at 805-987-2441 & give us your “exact” coordinates.

If you don’t see your community on the list, but you’re close by give us a call. We may be able to service your lighting or electric repair request for an additional travel charge and/or minimum hour charge.

Ceiling fans save up to 40% on energy costs by cooling or heating a room versus adjusting a thermostat. A cost effective appliance can serve as a decorative piece & lighting fixture, all at once, saving you real $.

Fans can be purchased that do more than just circulate air. Some have cooling & "heating" systems built in for those varying weather conditions, while others reverse speed to create updrafts. Some even have built in audio systems!

Cleaning Ceiling Fans may not seem like the most glamorous chore, but with these quick & easy tips, it can turn a dreaded chore into the easiest one, taking a mere 15 minutes.

First off, tape down the fan's switch to ensure that it does not accidentally turn on during the cleaning. Second, prepare the area around the fan by spreading old sheets on the floor & any furniture near the fan. Third, fill a spray bottle with a mixture of water & 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar. Use this mixture & spray it inside of an old pillowcase. Next, stand on an extra tall ladder so that you are about a head above the fan.

Then slide the pillowcase over an individual blade, pulling the dust off the blade & trapping it into the bag. Do this for each blade while rotating clean spots on the pillow case. Finally, use a cotton clothe for residual grime & to dust off the base & light fixtures.
