Labor rates for laminate & tile floor repair projects start at:

Start at $169* for the first hour of each trip & $119 an hour after that (that’s for 2 employees)

Rates listed above are the usual check or cash rates per hour for labor charged to our customers for repairing laminate floor or small tile floor repairs (not including dump disposal fees or materials).

We charge for all time included in a customer’s project, including purchasing or delivering materials, & offsite work like painting trim prior to an installation, or for the time to haul away debris. This allows us to take on smaller projects for our flooring customers, rather than only lump sum projects with much higher minimums to show up.

Thanks to our processing partner Paypal, we do accept most major credit & debit cards now! Rates are slightly higher, please call our office for all of the details.

*$169 to $189 is the first hour of work charge depending on zip code of the job location. Some exclusions do apply, like same-day, after hours or weekend service or customers with pre-arranged billing agreements. Communities outside of our area of operations will be charged additional travel costs. We would be happy to answer any of your pricing questions, please call for details!

A real live person will (unless the Zombie apocalypse has finally happened or every line is busy) answer!

Our office is open from 8am to 5pm Pacific Standard Time Monday to Friday.
We are available after hours & on weekends by phone for emergencies.

Great Question! Edward’s Enterprises is usually available:

Office: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm by phone in our office to schedule carpentry projects & ask questions about service.

Field: As far as scheduling work, for our typical rates listed above (I know we didn’t skip that section) we normally schedule work Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm (holidays, meetings, kids with flus may affect availability).

Most projects get a 2 hour window of arrival, so expect something like 7am to 9am, or 10am to 12pm, or even 1pm to 3pm window.

We are available for emergency carpentry work based on a first come first serve system & whether or not we have a crew available. Expect to pay more for these types of calls (we have employees & overtime is what it is).

If you need us to come outside of those times, expect to pay a bit more, or experience different restrictions like job minimums, etc.

To see if we can handle a carpentry improvement project at your office, store or home, you can check a few places:

There is a helpful site menu drop down called “Cities”. Select that & you can see if your city is in our “service area”.

You can review the city list at the bottom of the page.

You can visit Our Cities Page which is really just a “Cities” list page (don’t tell the page menu, it just makes it jealous).

You can contact us at 805-987-2441 & give us your “exact” coordinates.

If you don’t see your community on the list, but you’re close by give us a call. We may be able to service your carpentry repair request or schedule an onsite consultation for an additional minimum hour charge and/or travel charge.

Laminate flooring is made from a type of fiber core body with a photographic print layer & clear top coat of resin. It can be made to look virtually indistinguishable from many flooring surfaces such as hardwood, slate, tile, & stone.

Laminate flooring can be installed to be floating, meaning there is no need for nails, glue, staples, or anything to secure it to the foundation.

Laminate flooring is a great choice because it allows for the look of hardwood yet it avoids the high level of maintenance. Even though the maintenance is lower than hardwood floors, laminate floors still do need to be cleaned regularly. A way to do this is by first sweeping the floor to remove loose dust & debris. Then use a soft brush attachment & vacuum the floor. Make sure to get the corners well because dust & pet hair tends to accumulate. Then use a laminate floor cleaner to clean the floor. This cleaner can be purchased at most home improvement stores. After you use the cleaner dampen a sponge mop & run it over the area where the floor cleaner is. Make sure to go with the grain of the wood with smooth even strokes. Afterwards, you should rinse off the mop in clean water. Finally, you should be able to let the floor air dry, unless the floor cleaner says otherwise.

Next, we have some quick tips on floor stain removals. If you have a grease stain, an easy tip is to apply an ice pack to the area & allow the grease to harden. Then gently scrape off the stain with a knife or spoon. Any remaining residue can be wiped away with window cleaner. Crayon marks can be cleaned off with mineral spirits or toothpaste. Heel marks & scuffs can be rubbed away using a pencil eraser or Mr. Clean magic eraser. The last stain removal tip is for liquor. This can be cleaned off using a damp cloth of warm water & detergent. Simply rub the area until the stain disappears.
